New Orleans deserves a city that is as vibrant and beautiful as its people. Unfortunately, inconsistent trash pickup, illegal dumping, and neglected public spaces have left too many of our neighborhoods struggling with waste and debris. As Mayor, I will make clean streets and reliable sanitation a top priority.
My Plan for a Cleaner City:
✅ Reliable, Consistent Trash Pickup – I will enforce accountability in waste collection contracts, ensuring timely service and penalties for missed pickups. No more excuses—our residents deserve reliability.
✅ Crack Down on Illegal Dumping – We will strengthen enforcement and increase fines for illegal dumping while expanding bulk waste disposal options to make it easier for residents to properly dispose of large items.
Reliable Flood Control
Stronger Drainage, Safer Streets: A Smarter Approach to Flood Control
New Orleans knows all too well the dangers of flooding. Whether from heavy rain or hurricanes, standing water disrupts daily life, damages property, and threatens public safety. Yet too often, our drainage system fails when we need it most—because of clogged storm drains, broken pumps, and outdated infrastructure. As Mayor, I will make drainage and flood control a top priority to protect our homes, businesses, and streets.
My Plan to Fix Drainage and Reduce Flooding:
✅ Repair & Maintain Flood Control Pumps – We will ensure all pumps are fully operational, properly maintained, and repaired without delays, holding the Sewerage & Water Board accountable for performance and transparency.
✅ Keep Storm Drains Clear – A proactive citywide drain cleaning program will reduce street flooding, and we’ll improve reporting and response times for clogged drains.
✅ Upgrade Aging Drainage Infrastructure – We will secure funding and accelerate projects to modernize pipes, canals, and retention systems to handle heavy rain more effectively.
✅ Green Infrastructure Investments – Expanding permeable pavement, rain gardens, and other flood-mitigation solutions will help reduce runoff and ease the strain on our drainage system.
Flooding is not just an inconvenience—it’s a threat to our safety and economy. By fixing what’s broken and investing in smarter infrastructure, we can build a more resilient New Orleans that stays dry when the rain comes.

Strengthening Public Safety with a More Effective Police Force
A safe city is a thriving city. To restore trust in law enforcement and ensure every New Orleans resident feels secure, we must build a police force that is well-managed, well-trained, and well-equipped to handle the challenges of modern policing.
1. Competent Leadership & Accountability
• Implement merit-based promotions to ensure leadership positions are held by the most qualified officers.
2. Better Training for Better Policing
• Expand de-escalation and crisis intervention training to reduce unnecessary use of force.
• Increase training in community policing strategies to strengthen relationships between officers and the neighborhoods they serve.
• Provide specialized training for handling violent crime, drug-related offenses, and mental health crises.
3. Modern Equipment & Technology
• Ensure officers have access to advanced forensic and investigative tools to solve crimes efficiently.
By prioritizing competent leadership, better-trained officers, and modern equipment, we will build a stronger, more professional police force that earns the trust of the people and makes New Orleans a safer place to live, work, and visit.
